A 2nd year project.
For the shoe projects, every member of the course had to pick a different company then design a shoe as though that company were going to manufacture them themselves. For this project, I selected
ercol. This company is a well known furniture producer that works mostly in wood and leather. This is why these materials were selected for the shoe, with the top being leather and the sole being wooden. The shoe was selected to be a brogue as this style of shoe seemed to fit well with the lifestyle of the people likely to by ercol furniture. The aesthetics of the cross pattern was taken from the Shalstone Dining chair.
